Overview

On this trip, we’ll show you the best of Thailand in a fabulous adults-only group, accompanied by a private tour guide. We’ll explore the beautiful city of Bangkok, visit the Wat Trimitr temple with its splendid golden exterior, which houses a statue of Buddha carved in solid gold—said to be the largest in the world.

We’ll pass through Chinatown, the famous Chinese district of Bangkok, and continue to Wat Pho, the great royal temple complex that contains a 46-meter-long reclining Buddha and the tombs (“chedis”) of kings. We’ll also visit the Grand Palace, one of the most beautiful royal temples of Siam, where the kings of Thailand once resided.

We’ll take a lovely trip to the province of Nakhon Pathom, where we’ll board a speedboat along the Mahasawat Canal, visit a lotus flower plantation, and continue to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya to admire the beautiful views of the Bang Pa-In Palace, surrounded by lakes and waterways.

We’ll explore the extraordinary Ayutthaya Archaeological Park, home to lush and majestic temples. We’ll arrive in Lopburi, one of Thailand’s oldest cities, where we’ll enjoy the spectacular and amusing Monkey Temple. For nature lovers, we’ll head to Phitsanuloke to visit the city’s most sacred temple and the ruins of Wat Phra Siri Ratana Mahathat, a 14th-century royal temple.

Next, we’ll visit Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll take a relaxing bike ride through the “Gardens of Sukhothai,” surrounded by ruins and lakes, and admire one of the most iconic symbols of the area—the great white Buddha.

We’ll then reach the picturesque Phayao Lake in the Ing River Valley, visit the White Temple, the Blue Temple, and the famous Golden Triangle—the meeting point of Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. From the hilltop, we’ll enjoy a stunning view of the three countries and listen to the chants of monks.

To end the trip, we’ll visit an elephant sanctuary (with the optional opportunity to feed them), the Karen Long Neck women’s village, and an orchid plantation with a butterfly garden full of rare and colorful species. We’ll also stop at the Sankampaeng and Borsang handicraft centers, where you can shop for souvenirs.
