On this trip, we will visit the city of the Hellenic capital, Athens, which will allow us to observe the contrast between the capital of classical Greece and the cosmopolitan city. As soon as you enter the Acropolis you will be able to admire the Temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaea. The beautiful geometry of the Parthenon will unfold before your eyes, as well as the Erectheion, with its renowned portico of the Caryatids, the Pandroseion. We will also have a panoramic view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the neoclassical buildings of the University, Library and Academy, Hadrian’s Gate and the modern city of Athens, the Royal Palace and the Olympic Stadium.
We will get to know the picturesque, cozy, and labyrinthine streets of Mykonos Town. On our walking tour we will discover the windmills of Mykonos, and our guide will reveal why the streets are so narrow as well as other relevant historical and cultural information. Most likely, you will meet “Petros” the free pelican and probably the most famous in the world, which in itself has become the symbol of Mykonos, almost even above the windmills. After the visit on foot, we continue our journey around the island, comfortably by bus.
During this panoramic tour, we will enjoy some of the best beaches in the island, its Cycladic architecture that characterizes it so much, and we’ll also make a stop in Ano Mera, where we can observe its main square as well as the only 16th century Monastery of Monks on the island. Before ending our day, our next destination is the Kalafatis beach, which is located 12 kilometers from the city. In this paradisiacal beach, you will have time to relax, dive into its crystalline waters, or simply walk and have a coffee near the sea. On the way back and prior to the return, we will make a stop at a panoramic point so that you can immortalize this day and the moments lived.
You will also be able to enjoy the magical island of Santorini, believed by many to be the Lost Continent of Atlantis. We will take a regular cruise through the volcano.
